College Soccer News announced Monday that UNC senior forward Alan Winn was named its National Player of the Week, after scoring three goals in the Tar Heels’ wins over William & Mary and Duke.

Despite missing the team’s first three games due to injury, Winn has responded with four goals and an assist over UNC’s last four games–all of which have been victories.

The senior–who is now tied with Jelani Pieters for the team lead in goals–has played a large role in UNC’s 6-1 start this season, and will continue to be a focal point of the Tar Heel attack moving forward.

Winn and UNC will return to action on Tuesday at Wakemed Soccer Park in Cary against George Washington, a game that is set to begin at 7 p.m.
