CHAPEL HILL – The UNC men’s soccer schedule for 2013 features a strong preseason and a favorable home schedule.
The schedule was released Monday. It’s the first for UNC to feature Notre Dame as a conference opponent as the Tar Heels’ conference opener in South Bend, Indiana.
Exhibition play begins August 17 in Greensboro when Carolina faces Elon. The Tar Heels will then travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana for August 22 and 24 exhibitions against MichiganState and Indiana before ACC play begins.
UNC hosts both Duke and N.C.State this season; the Wolfpack comes to the Hill for the season finale.
ACC newcomers Pittsburgh and Syracuse split home and away with Carolina this season. Syracuse travels to Chapel Hill October 18 while UNC faces Pitt in Pittsburgh on October 26.
