Former Tar Heel, Ashe, Named MLS All-Star
HOUSTON – Houston Dynamo defender and former UNC player, Corey Ashe, was selected to play in the 2013 AT&T MLS All-Star Game to be held July 31 in Kansas City.
This marks Ashe’s second appearance on the All-Star Team. He was drafted by the Houston professional team out of UNC in 2007 and has become a dependable left back for the Dynamo, having started 30 games in each of the past 30.
In fact, fresh out of college, Ashe helped the Dynamo claim the 2007 MLS Cup and was named to the MLS All-Star squad in 2011.
