Former UNC point guard Marcus Paige earned a call-up on Tuesday from the G-League’s Greensboro Swarm to the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets.

Paige has been playing on a two-way contract all season, meaning the Hornets can send him back and forth between their main roster and their minor league affiliate.

With Charlotte guard Michael Carter-Williams set to miss time with a shoulder sprain, a roster spot opened up for Paige to fill at the moment.

In 41 games with the Swarm so far this season, Paige is averaging 15.1 points and 4.6 assists per game.

This will mark his second stint in the NBA in 2017-18, after he played a little under three minutes in Charlotte’s win over the Denver Nuggets back on October 25–grabbing two rebounds as his only recorded statistics.
