Harrison Barnes score 21 points in the Golden State Warriors victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday night.

Barnes’ two most impressive points came on a beautiful fake and shake of the Spurs’ Kevin Martin.

 Nice, right?

Golden State won 112-101.  Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 27 points.  It was the team’s 70th win of the season.  If the Warriors win their final three contests of the regular season, they will break the record set by Michael Jordan’s 1995-1996 Chicago Bulls.  That team finished the regular season with a record of 72-10.

San Antonio will likely be Golden State’s toughest test in the NBA Playoffs.  The Spurs own the second best record in the NBA.

Harrison Barnes has started 56 games for the Warriors this season.  He averages 11.8 points and 5.0 rebounds a game.  Golden State selected Barnes in the 2012 NBA Draft.  Before his professional career, Barnes spent two years as a Tar Heel.  He was the 2011 ACC Rookie of the Year and was first-team All-ACC in 2012.

Barnes is not the only Tar Heel on the Warriors roster.  James Michael McAdoo is a reserve on the team.  Both Tar Heels were on the team last season when the Warriors won the NBA Championship.
