The Durham Bulls baseball team opens up its 2014 International League season Thursday at freshly renovated Durham Bulls Athletic Park for a 6 p.m. game with the Gwinnett Braves.

Last season, the Bulls claimed the Governors Cup, their fourth in their history. And this Saturday, members of the 2013 team will be handed their championship rings as a part of the festivities for what is being deemed Championship Saturday for the 5 p.m. contest between the Bulls and Braves.

The $20 million facelift to the ballpark includes updated stadium video displays.

Tickets to the AAA baseball team’s games can be found on durhambulls.com or at the DBAP box office right outside the stadium in downtown Durham.
