As the United States Women’s National Soccer Team prepares to open its first training camp of 2018, head coach Jill Ellis named four former Tar Heels to the initial 26-player roster.

Forward Crystal Dunn joins defender Meghan Klingenberg, goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris and midfielder Allie Long on the National Team.

In addition to those four players, forward Summer Green and midfielder Dorian Bailey gave UNC two players on the U.S. U23 National Team.

Camp is scheduled to begin on Jan. 6 and will end just before a match against Denmark in San Diego on Jan. 21.

After putting players through a number of physical tests, Ellis will then look to make evaluations ahead of the SheBelievesCup in March–a tournament featuring four of the world’s top six teams (U.S., Germany, England, France).
