CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) – The Bobcats and new free agent pickup Al Jefferson open the 2013-14 season Oct. 30 on the road against James Harden and the Houston Rockets.

The league announced schedules Tuesday. Charlotte’s home opener is Nov. 1 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Three of the Bobcats’ first four games are on the road followed by nine of their next 13 at home.

Charlotte’s 82-game slate features 19 weekend home dates – 10 on Fridays and nine on Saturdays.

The Bobcats, who finished 21-61 last season, will make two appearances on NBA TV – against the New York Knicks on Nov. 8 and Chicago Bulls on Jan. 25 – both home games.

Charlotte will host reigning league MVP LeBron James and the defending NBA champion Miami Heat on Nov. 16 and Jan. 18.
