CHAPEL HILL – The quest for perfection by the Chapel Hill girls’ basketball team, which was postponed Friday due to winter weather, takes place Monday night, and Chapelboro.com brings it to you live.

The Tigers are 22-0 on the season, 13-0 in the Big-Eight conference. Only one team has come close to knocking off Chapel Hill this season—4A West Forsyth in the HighSchoolOT Holiday Tournament championship game. But Sherry Norris’ Tigers won that matchup by five in overtime and have won every game so far this season by an average margin of more than 40 points per game.

The final game of the regular season pits No. 1 and No. 2 in the Big-Eight against each other. The Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders have only dropped one conference match all season: a 24-point decision by the hands of the Tigers. Jessica Lowe’s Crusaders are clearly the second-best team in the conference, though, having dominated all other conference opponents this season.

Chapel Hill has already eclipsed the mark for the longest winning streak in school history, previously at 17; now only one opponent stands between the Tigers and the perfect season.

The conference tournament tips off Wednesday, but all eyes are on the season finale and senior night Monday.
