Chabad of UNC held a Grand Menorah Lighting and Chanukah party Wednesday night at the Pit on campus. Many students and families from around the area were in attendance, and the fire performance from Phoenix Aguilar dazzled everyone. After a message from the Rabbi Zalman Bluming, the Ice Menurkey (a combination Menorah and turkey, carved out of ice) was lit and the Chanukah celebration was in full effect. Delicious snacks and beverages were enjoyed, and the flames from the Menurkey burned well into the night.
