Burroughs Will Not Run for Re-Election to Orange County Board of Commissioners in 2018

Mia Burroughs announced at Tuesday night’s Board of County Commissioners meeting that she will not be seeking re-election in 2018. Burroughs holds one of the three seats up for election next year after being elected to the board in 2014. Burroughs was a member of the Chapel Hill – Carrboro City Schools Board of Education before being elected as a commissioner. Merging Orange County School Districts Not ‘Worth the Squeeze’

While our community works to find a way to provide housing options to every family that would like to live Orange County, former Chapel Hill Mayor Mark Kleinschmidt brought up an idea during the WCHL Community Forum that has been volleyed about in our community before as a potential solution.
