Donna Coffey Elected Orange County School Board Chair

Donna Coffey has been elected chair of the Orange County Schools Board of Education. Coffey was elected on Monday night to replace Dr. Debbie Piscitelli, who announced her resignation at a school board meeting earlier this month. Piscitelli’s latest tenure on the board came to an end less than a year after her return in March to fill the seat left vacant by the death of Rosa Williams. OC Schools Making Progress In Superintendent Search

ORANGE COUNTY – The search continues for the next superintendent of the Orange County School System. Donna Coffey, Chair of the Board of Education, says Dr. Del Burns was named as the interim superintendent in July. “We needed to give ourselves enough time to get qualified applicants in and go through all of the resumes, look at them, and choose who we wanted to interview,” Coffey says.
