CHAPEL HILL – Three Tar Heels earned Louisville Slugger All-America honors for their performance during the 2013 season. Junior starting pitcher Kent Emanuel earned a spot on the first team after going 10-3 with a 2.11 ERA in 15 appearances and 14 starts. Emanuel currently leads the ACC with 10 wins and has averaged nearly eight innings per start en route to a league-high 110.2 innings in 2013. DURHAM – The top-seeded UNC baseball team rolled over Miami, 10-0, in its opening game of the ACC tournament Thursday at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. BLACKSBURG- The North Carolina baseball team defeated Virginia Tech in game one of its weekend three series on Friday 21-8 reaching a season high in hits and runs. The Tar Heels started off strong with six runs in the first inning. Junior catcher Brian Holberton and senior outfielder Chaz Frank each added four hits for the Tar Heels.
