* AT 606 AM EDT… NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINFALL MOVING INTO ORANGE… LEE… CHATHAM AND ALAMANCE COUNTIES. DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES 1 TO 1.5 INCHES OF RAIN POSSIBLE WITH THESE SHOWERS AND STORMS THROUGH 8 AM.

* RUNOFF FROM THIS HEAVY RAINFALL MAY CAUSE MINOR FLOODING TO OCCUR… ESPECIALLY ALONG SMALL STREAMS… IN LOW LYING AREAS… AND AREAS OF POOR DRAINAGE. EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THIS STORM MAY CAUSE MINOR FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS… URBAN AREAS… HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES… COUNTRY ROADS… AND LOCATIONS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS.
