Driver Killed After Head-On Collision in Chatham Co.

CHATHAM COUNTY – A woman was killed following a head-on collision in Chatham County Tuesday afternoon, ABC 11 reported.

State Troopers confirmed that a car driven by 27-year-old Julie Barnacz, of Cary,  ran off NC Highway 751 near New Hope Church Rd. She then over corrected and hit another car head-on.  Barnacz was killed and the other driver, 53-year-old Robert Hannon, was rushed to UNC Hospital.

As of 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, a rep from UNC Hospitals said that Hannon was listed in fair condition.
