SOUTHERN PINES – Protesters of the Republican-led General Assembly marched in Southern Pines Monday continuing Moral Monday on the road while the legislature is on break.

This marks the third Moral Monday protest since the end of the session as part of a pledge by the NAACP to rally in all 13 North Carolina congressional districts. Monday’s event took place in the Southern Pines Downtown Park.

After 13 weeks of protests, 924 were arrested in Raleigh. Since taking the rallies on the road, no additional arrests have been reported.
