A moped driver was struck by a vehicle in downtown Chapel Hill Monday afternoon.
The Daily Tar Heel reported the moped driver was a female UNC student. The wreck was reported shortly before 2 p.m. Monday.
Chapel Hill Police spokesperson Ran Northam said that it appeared someone had waived the moped driver to turn into the alley next to Top of the Hill on Columbia Street but the driver did not see the moped.
The injured moped driver was transported to UNC Hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
