Chapel Hill Fire crews are on the scene of a reported natural gas leak Monday afternoon.

Officials say the leak was reported just after noon on Monday at 209 East Franklin Street.

Both Franklin and Rosemary streets are closed to traffic between Henderson Street and Pickard Lane while crews are working in the area.

Officials ask that you avoid the area if at all possible while crews are on the scene.

There is no timeline for when the roadway will reopen.
