Go Global NC selected 26 teachers from across the state to participate in the program, designed to help them bring the world to their classrooms.

“It is my belief and personal philosophy that international connections are integral to being a tolerant and educated human being; with travel comes education, and with education, tolerance,” Payton said in a release, adding, “We could all use a bit more tolerance in this diverse and colorful world.”
