CHAPEL HILL – Our local teachers got the chance to do some back to school shopping for free Wednesday.

The East Chapel Hill Rotary Club hosted the event and passed out vouchers of $75. Teachers stocked up on classroom supplies through out the day.

The event will continue Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

The Teacher Supply Store has been open since January 2008. Nearly 2,000 teachers have participated in it. This year, first year novice teachers, pre-k and kindergarten teachers, specialists such as ESL teachers, music, art, PE teachers, and more will be taking part.

The first day of classes is Monday. For more information about the Teacher Supply store, click here.
