Larry Marion has been named the new superintendent at Orange Correctional Center in Hillsborough according to the Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice.

Marion served as the assistant superintendent at Orange Correctional Center since 2011 and has been with the Department of Public Safety for 26 years.

Prior to his time with Orange Correctional Center, Marion worked at the former Polk Youth Correctional Institution, Umstead Correctional, the Dan River Prison Work Farm, and served as correctional lieutenant at Wake Correctional Center. He was also correctional captain at the N.C. Correctional Institution for Women.

Orange Correctional Center employs a staff of 66 and houses approximately 200 inmates.
