The Chapel Hill/Carrboro CROP Hunger Walk has set a goal of 500 walkers and hopes to raise $50,000 to help stop hunger and poverty.

A portion of the money raised will go towards the Inter Faith Council.

The 3.7 mile walk will be held Sunday, April 10 at the Carrboro Town Commons.

Last year around 400 walkers raised $45,000.

Other portions of the funding will go to help the Chaco region of South America.
