This Saturday, February 25, the Compass Center for Women and Families is holding its annual benefit art sale, “Through Women’s Eyes, By Women’s Hands.”

It’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Compass Center – which works to prevent domestic violence and provides survivors with crisis services, legal resources, and career assistance to help them get out of abusive situations and become self-sufficient.

This year’s event will feature dozens of 5×7 artworks by women artists from across the state – plus a silent auction, a raffle, and a reception with food, drinks, and live music.

Compass Center executive director Cordelia Heaney and art show chair Gill Hare joined Aaron Keck on WCHL to discuss the event.

“Through Women’s Eyes, By Women’s Hands” runs from 6-10 pm at the Sheraton Chapel Hill.
