Summer Transit; EV Basketball Camp; Umstead Review Panel
CHAPEL HILL – Chapel Hill Transit is currently running on its summer schedule with reduced hours.
The weekday CM, CW, D, and J routes don’t operate after 8:00 p.m. with different stop times per route; the weekday NU routes end at 8:30 p.m. Weekend U and NU routes do not operate.
Chapel Hill Transit’s EZ Rider service has adjusted hours over the summer as well.
You can find all the adjusted times by clicking here.
Extraordinary Ventures will host 20 young adults with developmental disabilities at a three-day basketball camp and needs help from volunteers.
EV is a Chapel Hill-based non-profit which offers employment and other opportunities people with disabilities might not ordinarily be able to receive.
The camp is designed to create a place where these young adults can go instead of sitting at home. It will include basketball drills, arts and crafts, field trips, and social opportunities.
Registration is $20 for campers, but scholarships are available.
The UNC Umstead Review Panel meets Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. for a teleconference at the Spangler Center.
The panel was formed to determine whether UNC is allowed to compete with an existing or proposed nongovernmental entity.Did you see something wrong in this story, or something missing? Let us know
