The Pittsboro Farmers’ Market is moving to a new location, Main Street Station, at 287 East St., relocating from its long-time home at the Chatham County Fairgrounds.

The first market of the 2014 season kicks-off Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and lasts until 6:30 p.m. Cheese, meat, vegetables, soaps, baked goods and transplants will be available for purchase.

The new location offers ample parking for customers, and the paved lot is handicapped accessible, according to event organizers.

The decision to change locations was made at the Pittsboro Farmers’ Market annual meeting in March.
