CHAPEL HILL – Orange County Cooperative Extension is hosting a Pesticide Disposal Collection Day on Wednesday, May 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Agriculture Building, 306 Revere Road in Hillsborough. Bring along any pesticides that you need to dispose of and they’ll do it, safely and free.

Pesticides must be in their original containers and clearly labeled, though; otherwise they won’t be able to accept it. For more information, call the Cooperative Extension Service at 919-245-2050.

A New York theater ensemble called The TEAM is in Chapel Hill this week, developing a new performance piece in residence with PlayMakers Repertory Company. The piece will actually be a year-long project, in which each of the five members in the ensemble will commit to learning a new skill—anything from a new language to a new instrument.

This Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., they’ll present their work in progress at Frey Rehearsal Hall in UNC’s Center for Dramatic Art on Country Club Road. It’s free and open to the public, but you can reserve seats in advance by calling PlayMakers at 919-962-7529.
