Hillsborough’s Finance Director; Turnip Patch Park; Tar Heel Express
HILLSBOROUGH – The town of Hillsborough has selected a new finance director, Heidi Lamay.
Heidi Lamay was finance and customer service manager for the Orange Water and Sewer Authority for five years. She is a certified payroll professional and has taken numerous courses in government accounting, budgeting, and finance.
Lamay was selected from a pool of 30 applicants after a round of interviews and a daylong assessment. She will begin work on September 30.
Hillsborough’s Turnip Patch Park will be closed the week of September 9 for sidewalk construction.
The park’s path is currently gravel and will be replaced with concrete during the week should weather permit.

The Chapel Hill Transit (CHT) will provide Tar Heel Express shuttle service on Saturday, September 7, 2013, for the UNC football game against Middle Tennessee State, scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Kenan Stadium.
Shuttles will begin at 9:30 a.m. from the FridayCenter and University Mall park-and-rides, and 11:00 a.m. from the Southern Village and Jones Ferry Road park and rides.
The shuttles will run every 10 to 15 minutes between the park-and-rides and Kenan Stadium and will operate for forty-five minutes following the game.
Shuttles drop off and pick up on South Road at Carmichael Auditorium and Woolen gym.
Shuttle rides are $5 for a round-trip or $3 for a one-way trip. Park-and-ride permits are not required during Tar Heel Express events
