Hillsborough Parks; OCPL Brick Paver Fundraiser
ORANGE COUNTY – The Town of Hillsborough is working with you to improve its dog park regulations and invites you to the Hillsborough Parks and Recreation Board meeting Tuesday night.
A community survey was recently conducted and will be discussed at the meeting. Hillsborough’s dog park at Gold Park is located at 415 Dimmocks Mill Road.
Tuesday’s meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Barn at 101 East Orange Street.
Kings Highway Park in Hillsborough is once again open after being closed since June for work on Lake Ben Johnston.
Contractors dredged the lake and made repairs to the dam, and there are still minimal hazards to be aware of. The Town has posted signs in English and Spanish warning visitors to stay out of the sediment pond. Some work still needs to be done to the dam, but it will not get in the way of park activity.
Kings Highway Park is west of Hillsborough off Ben Johnston Road.
The Friends of the Orange County Public Library is in the middle of a major fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $20,000 for the Orange County Public Library.
The Friends organization is offering personalized brick pavers for $100 per brick, with additional costs associated with special characters like hearts or ampersands.
The brick pavers can be ordered through November 1. Click here for more information.
