The Orange County Animal Services Department is hosting another “Spay Neuter Day” on Tuesday, February 25, at its location on Eubanks Road in conjunction with the national “Spay Day USA.”

Low-income families can receive spay and neuter surgeries for their pets at no cost on Spay Neuter Day. Sign up by February 11.

Congratulations to the Crunkleton on Franklin Street, just named by Southern Living Magazine as one of the best 100 bars of the South.

The Crunkleton was one of five bars in North Carolina to make the list. Also honored from the Triangle were Mateo Tapas in Durham and Poole’s Downtown Diner in Raleigh.

Students from Chapel Hill High School, Carrboro High School, and Cedar Ridge High School will join students from Durham School of the Arts and the UNC Women’s Glee Club on stage Friday, February 7 as part of the Carolina Women’s Choral Showcase.

The concert will begin at 8:00 p.m. in Hill Hall Auditorium. Admission is $5 or a non-perishable food item for the NC Food Bank.
