CHAPEL HILL – Fog mist from the “Exhale” steel sculpture at 140 West Franklin with take a breather for winter beginning on Monday.

The town will turn off the water to the sculpture to promote public safety and make sure no water freezes on the plaza.  Depending on the weather, the mist feature for “Exhale” may resume in late March or early April.

Durham Technical Community College has received a grant of nearly $120,000 from the State Board of Community Colleges to implement the NC Back-To-Work Program.

This program was established by the NC General Assembly to provide training for entry-level technical jobs.  The grant covers the cost of tuition, fees, and materials for eligible students.

To be eligible students must have a GED of high school diploma.  The program will start in January 2014.
