Work is underway to repair a stormwater pipe just off of Churton Street in downtown Hillsborough.

Town officials say the work on Faribault Lane began on Monday to replace the 84-inch corrugated metal pipe. The contractor will reinforce and seal the pipe, according to a release.

This work will reduce the cost of the project by at least $45,000, according to the town, and will allow the road to remain open during the work.

Weather permitting, the work will be completed by Thanksgiving.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution in the work zone.
