Things are about to get rowdy at Durham’s Common Ground Theater.

That’s because the Bottom Line Burlesque and Comedy Troupe is taking over the stage on Saturday, July 11, for an 8 pm show (“some adult themes”) to raise funds for the UNC Center of Excellence for Eating Disorders.

What is the Bottom Line Burlesque and Comedy Troupe? It’s a group of eight performers – dancers, jugglers, and more, some with decades of performing experience – who got together in Hillsborough a few years ago and started putting on shows together. Now they perform periodically all over the area – including this show to raise money for a cause they’ve been involved with from the beginning.

Ruby Martini (the group’s founder) and Lottie LaRue joined WCHL’s Aaron Keck on the air this week.

Tickets for Saturday’s show are $15, with raffle tickets available and donations accepted all evening.
