CHAPEL HILL – The Carrboro Citizen is gone but not forgotten.

Visitors to CarrboroCitizen.com can view an archive edition of the paper. Each week an image of the front page will be displayed from the paper from that day five years ago. You can see the full paper just by clicking on the image.

The paper ended production in early October after six years. Publisher Robert Dickson said his search for a new owner came up unsuccessful.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell visits UNC’s campus Wednesday to talk about safety in the sport of football.

Goodell is scheduled to deliver the Department of Exercise and Sport Science’s annual Carl Blyth Lecture at Alumni Hall at the George Watts Hill Alumni Center. He’s expected to discuss how recent safety measures have already been taken and improved the sport, and there’s more on the horizon.

The Carl Blyth Lecture by Roger Goodell will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Alumni Hall.

Chapel Hill Transit will hold its annual public forum Thursday night to allow patrons and residents the chance to tell the transportation provider just how its doing. The forum will also allow them to give input on what areas Chapel Hill Transit should focus on in the future.

All the input given will be gathered along with feedback received throughout the year. CHT officials will then review the information and make necessary service adjustments.

Thursday’s meeting will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Carrboro Town Hall Board Room at 301 W. Main Street.
