We all know that Chapel Hill is a great college town – and now, we’ve got even more national recognition.

The personal finance website WalletHub just named Chapel Hill as the third-best college town in America.

WalletHub compared 280 U.S. cities with major colleges, looking at 23 metrics including the cost of living for young people, the cost and quality of higher education, the number of students per capita, the crime rate, the nightlife, accessibility, and the availability of part-time jobs.

According to WalletHub, Chapel Hill got high marks for educational and job opportunities as well as its “youth-oriented environment.” Chapel Hill’s cost of living is high compared with other towns, but still in the top third overall.

WalletHub’s best college town in America is Oxford, Ohio, home of Miami University. Coming in second is State College, Pennsylvania, home of Penn State. The next-highest-ranking ACC town is Charlottesville, Virginia, which came in 19th.

Four other North Carolina towns made the top 100: Durham ranked 73rd in the WalletHub rankings, followed by Raleigh in 82nd, Wilmington in 88th, and Greenville in 91st.
