CHAPEL HILL – The public is invited to take a trip back in time  and get dolled up for the Glitz-Glamour-Gatsby Gala.

A “Roaring Twenties” party will take place on Saturday, November 16, from 7:00 p.m. -11:00 p.m. at the Seymour Center.

The event is hosted by the Orange County RSVP 55+ Volunteer Advisory Council; and the Friends of the Robert and the Pearl Seymour Center.

The gala will include hors d’œuvres, wine/beer tastings, entertainment, dancing, a silent auction, and a showcase of vintage cars.

Tickets are $40 per person and $75 per couple. They can be purchased at the Seymour Center in Chapel Hill or the Central Orange Senior Center in Hillsborough.  Call to reserve a ticket for pick up at the door on the night of the event.

Proceeds will benefit RSVP’s annual volunteer recognition program as well as various other programs and services for older adults.

The Rosemary Imagined Input Session has been rescheduled to
5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, at the Hargraves Community Center.

Rosemary Imagined is a community-led planning initiative that will refine the vision of Rosemary Street and how it will fit into the growth of downtown Chapel Hill.

The public is invited to attend for information about the process, engage in conversation and share thoughts.

The Town of Chapel Hill invites the community to participate in a public information session at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4 to discuss proposed changes to land use regulations in the Ephesus Church Road/Fordham Boulevard area.

The information session will be held at Extraordinary Ventures.

A consultant will explain the proposed regulatory changes and how this component of the Chapel Hill 2020 Comprehensive Plan will be implemented for the Ephesus Church Road/Fordham Boulevard area.

Ephesus Church Road/Fordham Boulevard focus area encompasses the area surrounding Ram’s Plaza near the intersection of Ephesus Church Road and Fordham Boulevard from South Elliott Road to the Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery.
