Triangle-area author Scott Blumenthal will be on campus today at Bull’s Head Bookshop, reading from his acclaimed new novel “The Kiss” at 3:30.

Set in Poland, 1941, “The Kiss” is the story of Aron Beckman, a 20-year-old Jewish musical prodigy whose music becomes a weapon of light against the darkness falling on Europe. It’s Blumenthal’s debut novel, and it’s won considerable acclaim – as well as the 2014 Independent Publisher Book Award Gold Medal in the category of historical fiction.
