RALEIGH – John Edwards is heading back to the courtroom with his former law partner and his daughter.

According to multiple media sources, Edwards, his daughter and her law partner, Sharon Eubanks, and John’s former law partner, David Kirby, will have law offices of Edwards Kirby in Washington, D.C. and Raleigh. The law firm is going to focus on “change(s) in social inequalities in favor of the greater good,” according to a statement released by Edwards.

Edwards reactivated his law license in May, a year removed from his acquittal on one of six charges of campaign finance fraud.

Kirby is a senior partner at the Kirby & Holt law firm in Raleigh. Kirby’s partner, Mark Holt, opened his own law firm last week with attorney, Dave Sherlin, according to Secretary of State documentation.

Edwards, his late wife, Elizabeth and Kirby attended law school together at UNC in the ‘70s. Kirby is the registered agent of the Elizabeth Edwards Foundation.
