I was at the Virgin terminal at LAX when gunfire broke out. Many of us have run on the tarmac. I don’t know what’s happening but I’m fine.

That is a kind of fear unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. In those moments, it’s true, you think about your kids and your your wife

There’s still a lot of confusion here, but it seems pretty definite there was gunfire. Wow.

There are alarms sounding and a police helicopter overhead. People all over the tarmac, getting too close to the planes, being ushered back

There are now putting people on buses, there are hundreds of people on the tarmac. Still chaos
— Bill Reiter (@foxsportsreiter) November 1, 2013
Not important other than to me but my flight delayed by several hours. Many of us shouldn’t have been there.

Buses moving, taking people away from scene of shooting

Surreal scene here with announcements of departing flight still playing overhead. I look around and see all these children and get choked
— Bill Reiter (@foxsportsreiter) November 1, 2013
After the initial burst of gunfire and hiding, people started jumping over one another, jumping off chairs, pushing each other. Chaos & fear
— Bill Reiter (@foxsportsreiter) November 1, 2013
We’ve been in this area for a while now, but absolutely no one word or announcement about what’s going on.
— Bill Reiter (@foxsportsreiter) November 1, 2013
It’s weird how in that moment time could be so fast and so slow at the same time. My God.
— Bill Reiter (@foxsportsreiter) November 1, 2013
And of course to all my friends and family, I love you all.

They’re bringing in more people in whatever area we’re being held, still no information of any kind or any authority figures around.
