Curbside recycling pickup isn’t available yet for thousands of rural Orange County residents, but later this year that’s going to change.

Orange County Solid Waste is expanding curbside recycling pickup this summer. Residents don’t have to participate if they don’t want to, but those who opt in will be able to leave their recycling at the curb in blue carts (or orange bins) for pickup rather than taking them to the waste and recycling centers.

Muriel Williman from Orange County Solid Waste joined Aaron Keck on WCHL this week to discuss the new initiative.
