CHTC Likely To Approve Budget, Discuss Advisory Boards
CHAPEL HILL – The Chapel Hill Town Council will likely sign off on next year’s budget when the council meets Monday.
The manager’s recommended budget calls for a two-cent property tax rate increase. Half of that will go to support Chapel Hill Transit, the other half will go to the town’s General Fund, to pay for increased library hours and the cost of hauling trash to Durham.
The council will also review a plan to streamline the town’s advisory boards, with special attention to those committees that participate in the development review process.
The council meets at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at Town Hall.
