CARRBORO – Parking and downtown construction top the agenda when the Board of Aldermen meets Tuesday.

The board will continue last month’s discussion on parking with a look at the idea of “un-bundling,” in which parking is rented separately from building space and developers are not required to provide a minimum number of off-street spaces.

Advocates say this could encourage business to share paid parking spaces while also promoting walking and biking around town.

The aldermen will also discuss what type of construction management plans developers should submit to the town prior to starting work on a project.

The board meets at 7:30 p.m. in Carrboro Town Hall.
