Hey, remember “It’s Carrboro”?

Brian Risk and Billy Sugarfix’s rap song celebrating the Paris of the Piedmont came out in 2006, and it’s still getting hits on YouTube today.

But it’s a new day and a new decade – so Risk and Sugarfix have updated the lyrics, and they’ve just released “It’s Carrboro 2014,” complete with an all-new video (directed by Richard Jaimeyfield) featuring dozens of local residents and businesses.

Check it out right here:

Lyrics include:

The Board of Aldermen stands for marriage equality
It’s Carrboro! You can be who you wanna be
They’re off to Moral Monday to show they ain’t joking
Even if it means they end up in the pokey!

Let’s see Morganton do that.
