CHAPEL HILL – The Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual Golf Classic Monday at the Governor’s Club from 9:00 a.m. till 4:00 p.m.

All proceeds will benefit the Chamber’s charitable Partnership for a Sustainable Community.

“Events like this generate the funds that we need in order to invest in economic and community development work. Things like small business counseling, training, and coaching. It will also help support our leadership development programs and our inner city visits and our community reinvestment work,” said Chamber President and CEO Aaron Nelson.

Founded in 2012, the Partnership for a Sustainable Community has helped local business owners exchange ideas and find opportunities through networking.

All business aside, Nelson says there will be a lot of food for golfers to enjoy.

“We’ve got breakfast for everybody, a great lunch that will be delivered to them out on the course and a fantastic dinner from the Governor’s Club’s restaurant in addition to prizes and contests,” Nelson said.

Nelson says there are still a few spots loft—for registration information, click here. You can also email Laura Morrison: LMorrison@carolinachamber.org
