Two Orange County teenagers have been arrested after two juveniles were robbed at gunpoint Monday.

Police say officers responded to the reported robbery just after 10 o’clock Monday night on Jones Ferry Road.

The two suspects were subsequently located and identified by police and a firearm was recovered. Officials identified 17-year-old Caleb Riley and 18-year-old Xzavier Gibson, both of Hillsborough, as the suspects arrested in connection with this case.

Riley is facing two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of second-degree kidnapping, and he was initially held in the Orange County Jail under a $60,000 bond. In addition to the charges Riley is facing, Gibson has been charged with two counts of assault by pointing a gun, carrying a concealed handgun without a permit and simple possession of a schedule IV substance. Gibson’s bond was set at $40,000.

County jail records showed both suspects remained in custody as of Tuesday morning.

Police officials say they are unsure whether this was a random act or a targeted robbery. No injuries were reported as part of the robbery.
