On Tuesday, Jan. 21, a breaking and entering/robbery was reported at a house in the 200 block of West Union St.

The resident, who was home at the time, said they heard a noise at the back of the house around 9:30 a.m. The resident confronted a suspect in the yard who then walked off.

The resident returned inside and found an armed man coming out of a back room. Police said the suspect then took a laptop computer and fled.

The suspects did not believe anyone was home at the time of the robbery, according to Hillsborough Police.

Tracking by a K-9 police dog led to a nearby vacant lot, where the suspects are believed to have left a parked car and driven away.
