A trial date has been set for Randy Sam Bradford, a former security guard at East Chapel Hill High School who was arrested on December 21 over allegations of sexual abuse.

Judge Joe Buckner set the conditions for Bradford’s pretrial release on Thursday at the Orange County Courthouse. Those conditions included having no contact whatsoever with the alleged victim and payment of a $10,000 unsecured bond.

Bradford’s employment at East Chapel Hill High School was terminated on December 13 in the midst of an ongoing investigation led by the Chapel Hill Police Department. Eight days later, a warrant was issued for Bradford’s arrest.

The warrant claims that there is probable cause to support the belief that Bradford “did engage in a sexual act” with a student at East Chapel Hill High School on December 5. School officials were informed of the alleged misconduct on December 12.

Bradford is expected back in court on January 27 at 2:00 PM.
