An Orange County traffic stop has led to the arrest of an individual on several outstanding narcotics warrants and the seizure of approximately 40 grams of suspected crack cocaine.

A gold Honda Accord was pulled over by Orange County Sheriff’s deputies on Highway 54 and Orange Grove Road last Friday. The vehicle was being driven by 28-year-old Kenneth Omar Baldwin, according to law enforcement, and officials say that deputies “observed Baldwin operating the vehicle and knew that he had outstanding felony warrants for narcotics violations.”

Baldwin was subsequently arrested on 11 outstanding warrants “without incident.” A narcotics-detecting K-9 was utilized during the stop and the suspected crack cocaine was recovered.

Baldwin is facing four counts of sell and deliver cocaine, four counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, two counts of maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substances and one count of conspiring to sell and deliver cocaine.

Additional charges are now being sought against Baldwin for trafficking cocaine by possession and transporting, maintaining a dwelling or vehicle for controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Baldwin is being held in the Orange County Detention Center under a $114,000 secured bond.
