A traffic stop on Tuesday morning led to a major drug bust in Orange County.

As part of an ongoing narcotics investigation, Sheriff’s deputies stopped a truck at the intersection of Route 70 and Lawrence Road in Hillsborough. Officers searched the vehicle and seized over four kilograms of cocaine.

Both of the occupants of the truck were arrested. 27-year-old Omar Tadeo and 24-year-old Manuel Tadeo, both of Chapel Hill, now face two charges of trafficking cocaine. They were incarcerated in the Orange County Detention Center under a $500,000 secured bond.
