A traffic stop has led to the arrest of a woman on cocaine trafficking charges in Orange County.

Authorities say a deputy pulled over a 2014 Chrysler with Arkansas registration on April 19 on Interstate 85 near Efland.

Officials say a deputy conducted a search of the vehicle during the course of the stop and located “aftermarket hidden compartments.”

One of those compartments contained five kilograms of suspected cocaine, according to law enforcement.

Ashley Arnold, of Houston, Texas, was arrested after the search and was charged with trafficking cocaine.

Arnold made her first appearance in Orange County Court on Monday afternoon.
