Three Alamance County teens are facing multiple charges in a deadly street-racing crash last month that took the life of a 16-year-old driver.

WTVD ABC11 is reporting that charges filed by the North Carolina Highway Patrol stem from a wreck that killed Desmond Piccini of Mebane on the afternoon of April 2.

While speeding east on East Lebanon Road in Orange County, Piccini crashed a 1989 Ford Mustang into a rock wall during a street race.

The car overturned, and Piccini was killed.

Sixteen-year-old passenger McCray Williams of Graham was injured. He’s charged with aiding and abetting a pre-arranged speed competition.

According to ABC11, Williams was involved in a street-racing crash that killed two teens in January of last year.

Eighteen-year-old Pavel Jones of Mebane is charged with participating in a spontaneous speed competition, as well as careless and reckless driving.

Nineteen-year-old Kameron Clevenger of Mebane is charged for his alleged role in a pre-arranged speed competition; misdemeanor death by vehicle; careless and reckless driving; and misdemeanor child abuse.
